"The Ark Comes Home"

The Ark of the Covenant has been away from the Israelites for seven months after the Philistines captured it. The Israelites lost the battle because they didn’t consult God.

Then they brought the Ark to the battlefield as a “good luck” charm, hoping it would help them win


While it was in Philistine custody, God showed His superiority over their god, Dagon.

The Ark was in 3 cities, Ashdod, Gath, and Ekron. In each of the cities, the people were struck with tumors (from the bubonic plague carried by rats)


So they wanted to figure out how to get it back where it belonged.
