How it all started...
Foothills Baptist Church began as a mission from First Baptist Church in 1986. The first building was a double wide trailer (pictured on the right). The second picture is the first constructed building, with sanctuary, classrooms, and a downstairs fellowship hall. The church has had five pastors in its almost 40 years of ministry. J.R. Hull, Gerald Nash, Paul Lancaster, Don Strait, and current pastor, Tommy Medley.

Expanding the vision...
As Foothills Baptist Church began to grow, more space was needed. A new sanctuary and fellowship hall was constructed in front of the existing one. The sanctuary is still in use today. Foothills continued to grow, and a new building with larger classrooms, and a large fellowship hall, and a basement for all the youth and children's activities was added on the back of the original building. God blessed the church in the midst of the COVID pandemic with helping to payoff the remaining debt owed on the building.
Where we are headed...
God is still working at Foothills Baptist Church. We have an active children and youth ministry, an active Women's Missionary Union (WMU), Ladies, and Men's Bible Studies. Our choir under the direction of Malcolm Sumrall, leads us in worship every Sunday. And we have top notch Sunday School teachers that love the Word of God, and teach it unapologetically. There are great days ahead for Foothills. Come see what the Lord is doing!
