What the Disciples Saw and Heard

Today we begin our emphasis on our Dixie Jackson Offering for State Missions. The theme is “Seen + Heard” based on Acts 4:20. Peter and John had healed a lame man, and began preaching about Jesus, and repentance. The priests and the religious leaders didn’t like that they were teaching about Jesus it, and they arrested them. Many people believed, about 5,000 people. They had a problem knowing what to do with them. They decided to tell them to stop spreading the message.

Peter gave a great response in Acts 4:20, For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.”

So what was it that compelled the disciples to go against the leaders and say this?
